Check out what I got in my fall Trunk Club box!
I got another trunk from Trunk Club! This time, I requested some items that would work for fall and winter. My stylist did a fantastic job with this box. I wish I could have kept everything! My budget didn’t allow for that, but I did keep a couple things!
One of the things I’m really enjoying about Trunk Club is that you can receive more than just a handful of items. This time around, I got 9 things to try. And I could have gotten more!! Even though I know purchasing 9 new items isn’t in my budget, it gives me more chances of finding something I love.
Fall Trunk Club Review
I LOVE this twist front pullover. I’ve wanted to try this style top for a while. It’s got a classic shape, but the twist in front gives it a bit of interest. And it’s super soft!! This is one of those tops I could probably own in a couple different colors because it’s so versatile.
I wanted to love this split neck top, but it ended up being just ‘like’. It’s very soft and comfortable. But I wasn’t crazy about how the neck lays open on just one side. I tried playing around with it to get it to lay differently, but it just kept going back to half open.
But I think this classic top is very easy to style and if you don’t mind the neck laying that way you would probably get tons of wear out of it. It comes in several colors and some stripe patterns too.
I really wanted to feel confident in these faux leather leggings. They were super comfy, which was surprising to me because they looked like they were about 5 sizes too small. And I was very hesitant to even put them on my body because I was afraid they’d make me feel like I was being suffocated. But they are VERY stretchy and I’d say true to size. But I felt a little self conscious, like I looked like a mom trying to be edgy. Ha!
This thick and cozy sweater cardigan was something my stylist picked for me by request. I wanted a warm and comfy layering piece that I could wear with a lot of different tops and maybe dresses. I did like it, but I wasn’t in love with sleeves. They didn’t look cropped in the stock photo, but they were a little cropped on me. And for $74, I needed to love it to purchase it. 😉
I’ve never worn anything by Madewell, so I was anxious to try this short-sleeved button down top. I really like it because it’s classic and would go with so many things. It’s cute with the jeans pictured, and it would be super cute tucked into a skirt. You could wear layers over it too. But it wasn’t in my budget right now, and I already have a LOT of black shirts.
This is definitely a nice trench coat, and I like that it’s not super bulky. It’s got plenty of pockets and the belt should be flattering. But I don’t think it was very flattering on me. I should have taken a photo with the sleeves rolled up because it’s cute that way too.
These jeans are perfect! I wasn’t confident these rust skinny jeans would work for me because they looked like they were made for a very slim frame. But they fit really nice (and my frame is NOT slim, Ha!). I love the color and the fit and had to keep them. I’d get them in another too.
These black jeans are very nice and super comfortable. Black jeans are such a classic and go with everything! I did not feel great about how the high waist fit over my mom-belly though.
My last trunk came with a pair of tall black boots that I couldn’t zip over my calves. So my stylist chose these for me to try out. They had a weird fit for me though. They foot part was really big, but the ankle was snug. I wasn’t crazy about them, and I do already have some black boots so I’m not really in need of any.

My first experience was just ok, but I was much happier with this trunk from Trunk Club! I think my stylist really took my feedback and notes into account, which I really appreciate. She even sent me several messages asking questions before she made her picks for me. I’d say the personal communication with your stylist is a big advantage to Trunk Club.
