Y’all, let me tell you about Agnes & Dora. It’s a women’s clothing brand and it’s AH-MAZING.
If you’re looking for gorgeous closet staples that make you feel stylish AND comfy at the same time, look no further. Agnes & Dora is here for you. If you’re looking for trendy statement pieces that make you feel confident AND comfy, look no further. Agnes & Dora is here for you too! I’m telling you, these clothes are amazing and there really is something for everyone’s individual style.
Full disclosure… I sold Agnes & Dora clothing for about 6 months. I made the decision to sell this brand because I love it so much! I decided to close my boutique, but I won’t stop wearing these amazing clothes. Let me share with you some of the things I love about Agnes & Dora.
10 Things I Love About Agnes & Dora
1. Flattering
I mean, who doesn’t love a piece of clothing that makes you feel and look great?? Agnes & Dora styles are designed to be flattering to a wide range of body shapes and sizes! And that’s good news for me because as a size 12 it’s often difficult to find clothing that fits *just right*. It seems like most off-the-rack department store clothing is made to either fit smaller framed or plus size women. And boutique clothing seems to be designed for small frames.
When I can find clothing that fits well, it’s often frumpy. Agnes & Dora is NOT frumpy! Many of the styles are loose and flowy, but still flattering and stylish. *NOTE: I do think a lot of it is in how you wear something. If you wear a stylish dress with your slippers, greasy hair, and yesterday’s mascara, it’ll probably look frumpy. 😉
2. Comfortable
Comfort is SO IMPORTANT to me!! For years, I wore clothing that was uncomfortable for the sake of being trendy and fashionable. But I just don’t have time for that mess anymore! Especially since discovering on-trend clothing CAN be comfortable.
It’s important to note that comfort does have a lot to do with fit. When clothing fits well, it’s much more comfortable. And when clothing is designed for a body shape/type that is different than your own, it’s not going to fit as well or be as comfortable. So the fact that Agnes & Dora clothing is designed to fit many body shapes is something I totally love.
3. Easy to style
Because truly, I’m no fashionista. I’m all for trying bolder statement pieces at times, but I need things to be easy to style. And because I love using capsule wardrobes, I need to be able to style things in many ways. (When you only have ~30 items in your wardrobe, it’s important that each item be versatile so you don’t feel like you’re wearing the same thing all the time!)
4. On trend
Agnes & Dora comes out with new styles regularly. Like, every couple of weeks in peak seasons. And I often see similar styles being shared by fashion influencers all over Instagram. I love that Agnes & Dora makes trendy fashion available in styles that are comfortable and flattering.
I know I’ve warned against falling for trends. But it is fun to partake in trends once in a while. The key is to know which trends are right for you. Like cold-shoulder tops — not for me. That trend was a hard pass for me. But long layers, like dusters and kimonos? Yes please! And those are trends I’ve worn for a couple years, and will probably continue to wear for a while. So I feel like it was worth it to invest in those types of pieces.
5. Yet still classic
So many of Agnes & Dora’s styles are classic silhouettes that will serve you well in all (or most) seasons, regardless of current fashion trends. Pieces like that are always worth investing in (if you love them!) because they won’t go out of style. A few of my favorites are the Curie Dress, Essential Cardi and Favorite Cardi (which are identical except for the type of fabric), Everyday Tee, and Weekend Skirt.
6. Easy to care for
Yes, you do have to use some care when washing Agnes & Dora clothing. But in my opinion, it isn’t anything above and beyond what I do for clothing I care about anyway. Basically, wash on cold, inside out, and air dry. I’ve yet to find an Agnes & Dora item that needs ironing. But if something looks a bit wrinkly after it’s dry, you can pop it in the dryer on fluff for a short time. Works like a charm.

7. Affordable
We’re not talking bottom dollar here, but for the quality of the clothing the prices are right on. I’ve learned that while prices does not equal quality as a rule, higher quality clothing usually does cost a little more. Plus, Agnes & Dora has been doing occasional markdowns.
8. Company mission
I love when a company has a mission that makes you go “Yessss.” Agnes & Dora’s company mission is “Redefining success and beauty through embracing personal power.” You can read more about what that means to the company on the Agnes & Dora About Us Page, but for me it means empowering women to define their own success and beauty. And I just love that.
9. Honoring women.
Not only does Agnes & Dora want to empower women, they also honor influential women by naming certain dresses after them. What a cool way to recognize these amazing women while inspiring women today. Some examples of these dresses: Curie, Austen, Spencer, Walker, Kahlo, Joplin, Fisher, Angelou, and Nightingale.
10. The owner, Buffy Bandly
As an Independent Representative of Agnes & Dora, I get to be in a private Facebook group with all the other reps and with the owner, Buffy Bandly, as well as people from the A&D headquarters. It’s a place for us all to connect and share information, ideas, and training.
Buffy herself goes live in the group, speaking directly to the reps. And she always comes across as just a normal person. My favorite video of hers was when she had a company picnic in her backyard at her house. Just the fact that the owner is gracious and hospitable enough to host her employees at her home was pretty sweet. And she got on Facebook live during the picnic to go around and introduce the people from company headquarters.
It was just a normal backyard picnic with people sitting and eating at folding tables and chairs. And Buffy knew every person’s name. Some employees had family members there and Buffy knew them too. At one point, she was speaking to the group and her kids were hanging on her, and of course I could totally relate! I just really appreciated her realness.
