I’m so glad you’ve joined me! I love sharing tips, ideas, and thoughts that can help you love life.
Pockets Full of Wonder is a lifestyle site for people who don’t want to spend their lives working on their to-do list and want more time for family, friends, fun, adventure, personal growth, and self care. Here, you’ll find advice for streamlining those things we have to do, and inspiration for the things we want to do.
You can also get weekly notes from me in your inbox. Sometimes I have a tip, idea, or just some thoughts I need to share with you right away – no time for creating a whole blog post for those! Join my newsletter mailing list to get those.
If you’d like to know more about me, Laura, you can check out my About Me page. 🙂
When people ask me for advice on making life easier, I always recommend streamlining your wardrobe and your meal planning. Those two things have literally changed my life and help keep me sane! Naturally, they are also some of my most favorite topics to write about.
Getting Dressed (and doing it well!)
To get started streamlining your wardrobe, you can check out my series on decluttering your closet. You might also find my past capsule wardrobes helpful, and my style tips on wearing one piece of clothing multiple ways.
Feeding a Family
If you’re new to meal planning, I recommend you begin with my Ultimate Guide to Meal Planning. It goes over EVERYTHING meal planning related. I also have some shorter posts on making dinner time and meal planning easier that you might like.
Personal Growth & Self Care
Once I streamlined getting dressed (while still feeling stylish!) and planning meals for my family, I finally felt like I could focus on myself again. I’ve shared lots of personal growth stories and tips, as well as thoughts on self care. A couple of my most popular posts are How to Be Happy: Five Things to Stop Doing NOW and Three Hobbies that Calm the Mind and Soothe the Soul.
Housekeeping & Homemaking
What’s the difference between housekeeping and homemaking? Well, for me, the difference is simply the ‘have-to-do’ versus the ‘want-to-do’. Housekeeping means keeping my home clean and orderly – which does NOT come naturally to me! So I do my best to streamline it. That way I have more time for homemaking (the fun part!). Homemaking encompasses all the things that make a house feel like a home. And you know what? Sometimes, those two things overlap!
Mom life is complicated. It’s SO REWARDING, but not for the faint of heart. But hey, you’re not alone. I’m no parenting and motherhood expert, but I’m happy to share my experiences as a mom of three with you!
