The 52 Lists Project is a fun journey of self-discovery and self-reflection through guided journaling focused on making one list per week for a year. Wanna play along?
I’m one of those people who chooses a word or phrase to focus on in the new year. I’ve done it for several years, and I can’t imagine NOT doing it at this point. Some past years’ words include ‘content’, ‘intention’, and ‘balance’.
This year? The word is ‘Me’. More on why I chose that word and what it means, exactly, later. But as part of that, I want to look inward and work on self-discovery. Authenticity is something I want to strive for, in my blog, in my relationships, in my life. But I feel like I have been so focused on being what I thought I should be my whole life, rather than what I really am. And I need to uncover myself a bit.
The 52 Lists Project came up in my recommendations in Amazon just a few weeks ago. And as signs tend to do, it came at just the exact right time. The notion that maybe I haven’t been living completely authentically had been surfacing in my mind, and along with that came a strong need to figure out what living authentically means for me. The 52 Lists Project is a journal with prompts for making lists each week for a year. I love this idea because, while I love the idea of journaling, I always have a hard time thinking of what to write. So having weekly prompts is perfect for me. And lists are such fun. These list prompts inspire peering inward to “reveal your inner wisdom and confidence”. And they range from fun and lighthearted to deep and reflective, so a little bit of everything.I think this would be such fun to do as a group and would LOVE to have you join me. I’ve created a private Facebook group where I’ll post about each week’s prompt, share my own lists, and hopefully connect with you over our common experiences as well as celebrate our differences.
In addition to the community on Facebook, you can use #52ListsProject when posting about your lists on social media. It’s a great way to connect with others on the same journey of self-discovery and reflection!
